via Route 9 (parking on either side), is a flat path along the Mousam River with scenic views.
Just around the corner, the grounds at the Franciscan Monastery are open to the public and offer trails and a great view of the Kennebunk River.
Hope Cemetery and Woods offers a few wooded miles of trails in downtown Kennebunk, with a flat universally accessible trail for those on wheels.
Ocean Avenue in Kennebunkport boasts a scenic stretch for bikers. There is also a sidewalk for walking between St. Ann’s Episcopal Church and Walker’s Point, home of the Bush family.
Welch Woods in Arundel is an easy half-mile loop through the woods that ends with benches at the shore of the Kennebunk River and this view.
Start at the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust headquarters and walk the labyrinth along the Batson River Trail! Plus so many other trails!
Walk or ride the Eastern Trail, with entry point s at Kennebunk Elementary School or Limerick Road in Arundel. It’s a wide, flat, hard-packed surface that offers miles of riding and walking as part of the larger 62-mile trail down Southern Maine.
The Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge parcel on Route 9 in Wells offers an easy 1-mile loop with 11 trail stops and overlooks at scenic spots.
If you bring your own bike, you can hit up the Roll ‘Um Easy roller trail at the Arundel Conservation Trust’s trail system behind the new Arundel Town Hall on Limerick Road. Or just enjoy the trails on foot!
